Structures Salon was formed in 1994. Structures Spa was added in 2010. It’s philosophy is based around inspiring the student in each stylist and staff and constantly growing through education and creative projects. Each staff member has their own flare and unique ideas they bring together to make a dimensional , well rounded and fashion forward thinking environment. From fashion shows, photo shoots, advertisements, movies, commercials and beyond, the staff is always up for putting their stamp on each project. Let us help you unleash your inner fashionista!

What’s your favorite funny story at Structures?
Janelle was doing celebrity look alikes and I was chosen to look like Dolly Parton. Yep you heard it DOLLY PARTON!!!! HA, it was so great though. After 3 hours of hair and makeup I truly felt and looked like her. It was freaking hilarious. Big blonde hair, pounds of makeup and shirts stuffed in my bra, Dolly had returned to her younger years.

What do you love about your job?
Everyday is different, different people, different conversations, and new goals each day. I love making people look and feel beautiful by working towards each new goal.

What is one of your favorite memories you have from working at Structures?
When Beccah and I both had a break in our schedule and decided to go ice skating. About 5min in to being on the ice I fell and twisted my ankle. I had to be wheeled out on a receptionist chair thru the parking lot. Beccah put a taxi cab sign on the roof of her car and rushed me to the ER. Needless to say now rule #1 is NO ICE SKATING ON THE CLOCK!
What is your favorite funny story or moment at Structures?
My first day working there I got so involved and in my zone I never looked at the time. Someone had to come up and tell me to look at the clock because I could go home. I really had no idea the whole day flew by but I guess it was a good first impression. I still have to be reminded every now and again. Time flies when you are having a good time!

Why did you become a stylist?
I became a stylist because I grew up watching my mom do everyones hair in the kitchen almost every single day. Friends, family, neighbors… you name it! So I started doing all of my friends hair when I was in high school. I feel in love with it and I still love it every single day!

How did you decide you wanted to work at Structures?
First I love making people look and feel beautiful and Structures has a charming aesthetic and super friendly attitude making it a perfect home for me!

What do you love about your job?
I love that every single day I am here I laugh out loud with great co workers and amazing clients I feel so lucky to be able to enjoy my “work” this much. I love connecting with our community and looking threw my schedule each day and getting excited about who is coming into see me. I also love seeing our team grow and still feel like we are family, we all share and support each other and have a true sense of pride in each others work. It has allowed me to explore my creative side and tap into all different avenues including styling for magazines and advertisements (Real Simple, Vanity Fair, InStyle, Target, Joe Boxer and more) As well as working with a great local creative team to make some small and full length feature films!
