Structures is home to Janelle. As co-owner, mentor, and Master Stylist, she has the rare privilege of being able to say she genuinely loves what she does—the salon, the people she works alongside, and the clients she still sees part-time behind the chair.
Janelle began her career as an apprentice, spending three years developing her craft under TIGI International Educators before stepping out on her own. Since then, she has continued advanced education in cutting, color, makeup, lashes, and more, including studying at Make-Up Designory (MUD) in Burbank, California.
Behind the chair, Janelle has a particular love for detailed texturizing and removing weight from thick hair. Rather than fighting against a client’s natural texture, she works with it—creating shape, movement, and balance so the hair falls beautifully with less effort. She especially loves creating cuts that look great air-dried, along with low-maintenance color designed to grow out naturally and fit into real life.
Her approach always starts with listening. Janelle takes pride in understanding how a client actually lives in their hair and creating something that not only looks great when they leave the salon, but works for them every day.

With more than 25 years behind the chair, Paulette brings extensive experience in both cutting and color. She has advanced training in razor and precision cutting, with a particular love for short hair, shags, and bangs. Short hair is where she feels most creative, and after attending several classes dedicated specifically to shag haircuts, the shag remains one of her all-time favorite cuts to create. She is also comfortable working with all hair lengths and both curly and straight textures.
Color is another part of her work she loves, from highlights and gray coverage to rich, dimensional brunettes. But if you're ready to go red, you've found your person—Paulette especially loves helping clients discover the perfect shade of red for them.
Paulette believes great hair should work just as well at home as it does when you leave the salon. She takes the time to understand each client's hair, lifestyle, and goals, then creates a cut or color that feels personal and manageable. Just as importantly, she'll help you understand how to recreate and care for your look at home.
Originally from the Chicagoland area, Paulette quickly fell in love with Frederick and the community she now calls home. For her, one of the best parts of being a stylist is getting to know the people in her chair and helping them find a look that makes them feel confident and completely themselves.
Outside of the salon, Paulette loves spending time with her husband, two kids, and their dog. She also enjoys traveling—especially somewhere new—baking, reading, getting outdoors, and catching up with family and friends.

Tiffini specializes in hair extensions, vivid and creative color, and fairy hair. She loves services that give clients the opportunity to express themselves, whether that means adding length and fullness, creating a bold new color, or adding just a little unexpected sparkle.
When she’s not behind the chair, you’ll probably find Tiffini curled up with a good book, playing video games with her loved ones, or taking care of her ever-growing collection of plants. She and her partner are also serious animal lovers, sharing their home with two dogs and six cats.

Her career has taken her through many sides of the industry, including years as a model and professional experience in airbrush makeup and skincare. She has also managed multiple businesses and owned a business of her own, giving her a strong foundation in both the creative and operational sides of the industry.
Today, Bonnie helps keep the many moving pieces of Structures working together—from supporting our team and overseeing day-to-day salon operations to making sure our clients feel welcomed and cared for from the moment they walk through the door.
With decades of experience behind her, Bonnie brings a steady, knowledgeable presence to the salon and plays an important role in creating the experience both our clients and team have come to know at Structures.
